As part of communication Strategy of Uttar Pradesh Ganga River Conservation Agency, one of the initiatives was to involve students of the art colleges of the State to create awareness about the Ganga River. A 3-Day State Level Namami Gange Painting Competition organised from 5-7 December 2016 in association with Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow. 10 Universities (BHU, AMU, Lucknow, Kanpur, DDU, Allahabad, Kashi Vidya Peeth, Bundelkhand, Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University & Agra) participated in the competition. 70 Students from Art Departments of the said Universities participated in all the three categories – Painting, Poster & Installation.
